For the National Archaeological Museum

From Time, Form, Concept, 14.3.2026

The National Archaeological Museum hosts Aggelika Korovessi’s contemporary sculpture exhibition, offering to visitors the opportunity to experience different facets of artistic creation from the prehistoric times until today.

The visitor, walking amidst the permanent exhibitions of the museum, can be led to multiple interpretations of the way in which artists approach concepts and forms through the ages.

Korovessi’s sculpture exhibition falls under a policy of extroversion followed by the Museum which recently intensified its efforts to accept and organise varied events and cultural actions.

We believe in an open and bright museum, which besides its educational role and its obligation to protect and promote antiquities, beyond its research activity which is of international standards, remains a temple of art and culture, a space to exchange ideas and meet cultural identities. In that spirit we wish that the ancient Greek civilisation continues to constitute a springboard for new creative explorations.
