Crystal Sequence

Land art “Crystal Sequence” was created for the outdoor space of SIAAP’s underground water purification station in Achères, Île-de-France, west of Paris. The sculptural installation flows over the green earth like a river. The cubes like pure water crystals, reflect the light, mirroring the nature that surrounds them and symbolizing earth’s rejuvenation after the treatment and the return of pure water to it. The cubes reflect each other creating an effect that reminds of a sequence of crystals or of clear water flowing and glistening in the sun. All this mirroring of the environment within the work removes its structural limits and creates, with the movement of the viewer, a play of reflections with indefinite boundaries, just like the visual play of flowing water with indefinite depth and volume.
